FLY-DOOR FAQ

FlyDoor concertina design retractable fly screens are separated into Type A and B frames. Both retractable insect screens are made using the same fly mesh. The fly mesh is made of polyester and poly-propylene mixture in concertina (or accordion style) and retracts to cover the opening. Flyscreen mesh is available in black or gray color. Both types provides optimum protection for insect and flies while does not interfere with outside view.It can be easily cleaned with the help of vacuum cleaner. Please see the cleaning chart for instructions.

Type A frame:
Type A retractable screen door is suitable for wide applications, such as covering alfresco areas, bi-fold doors and French doors without thresholds or steps. By adding numerous A type retractable screen panels side by side, the screen system able to cover a distance of up to 9m on the one sliding guide. As it only has a 2-3 mm height sliding guide above the surface, has driven with caterpillar chain.. It is suitable for wheelchair access and especially people with disabilities it will prevent tripping.

Type B frame:
Type B retractable insect screen is suitable for single or double panel fly-screen door applications for casements and sliding systems, such as a single panel casement door or a double panel French opening door. It is well suitable for both new and existing sliding doors. The system allows us to cover up to 3.2m in width; it is driven with strong liners. This type of insect screen doors may have been extended further more however prior inspection is necessary.

Both frame types insect screen doors can be dismantled and stowed away during winter period allowing longer life and ease of use.

FlyDoor. offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty* for the IDeal Retractable Flyscreens.

*Limited Lifetime Warranty covers “only” manufacturing defects. Improper claims may incur fees and charges.

IDeal Retractable Screens warrants that the products sold shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. The words “defects” as used in this warranty is defined as imperfections which impair the utility of the product. Routine service & maintenance would include keeping the guide rails and screen mechanism free of dirt, sand and debris. The words “routine service & maintenance” as used in this warranty is defined as “the maintenance required by the customers”. The warranty does not cover damages to the product caused by improper operation, storage, cleaning, misuse, accidents, intentional human acts, negligence, animal behavior or acts of God. In addition, this warranty does not apply to any Flydoor Retractable Screens products used in commercial applications or that have been repaired or altered without the company’s express written consent.
